The Educational Technology Center and the Educational Technology Support Departments have been combined to form one new department, entitled the Department of Technology Support and Integration (TSI). For clarification purposes, the STSs are the support arm of the schools and the former ETC instructors are acting as support from the district office location.

We are "re-tooling" for this coming year. Among new approaches will be the possibility of more on-site school training provided by both the STSs and the TSI Center instructors.

  • Promoting the Proper Use of Technology

"The goal is not to install technology in the classroom but to determine what you want to achieve and then obtain the best technology to attain the goal." Jeff Mao, Coordinator of Educational Technology, Maine's Department of Education.

"The constantly changing face of technology has greatly increased the responsibility of today's learner. They must be able to transfer understanding from one program to any different, yet similar, program." - Phineas Techolov -
